In a transformative effort to centralize and optimize financial operations, the Prosperity Government, led by His Excellency Senator Douye Diri, has embarked on constructing a state-of-the-art finance building. This ambitious project aims to consolidate all financial dealings into a single, efficient hub while providing a modern, befitting office space for the Bayelsa State Ministry of Finance.

The finance building, a magnificent two-story edifice spread across three floors, is designed with two wings to accommodate various essential facilities, ensuring it serves as a comprehensive one-stop shop for all financial-related activities. The building will feature:

  • 50 Offices: Spacious and well-equipped offices for diverse financial departments.
  • 3 Conference Halls: Modern halls with advanced technology for meetings and events.
  • 1 Boardroom: An exclusive space for high-level discussions and decision-making.
  • 42 Toilet Facilities: Ample and hygienic facilities to ensure convenience for all occupants.
  • 2 Lifts: Efficient lifts to facilitate smooth movement between floors.
  • 2 Security Houses: Dedicated security posts to enhance safety and surveillance.
  • Secured with Fence: A robust perimeter fence for added security and protection.

Awarded to Amapou-Pere Nigeria Limited, an esteemed indigenous contractor, the contract for this significant project was signed on May 30, 2022. Strategically located in Onopa, Yenagoa Local Government Area, the finance building will be easily accessible and ideally positioned to serve the financial needs of Bayelsa State.

This groundbreaking project is not just about infrastructure; it symbolizes a leap toward excellence in financial management and administration. It stands as a testament to the commitment of the Prosperity Government to foster growth, efficiency, and innovation. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to build a future that Bayelsans can be proud of.
