Contractor Registration Guidelines

Follow these steps to ensure your registration is successful and compliant with the requirements.
Conditions for Consultants
To be eligible for registration as a consultant, please ensure you meet the following criteria:
- Certificate of Incorporation/Registration
- Certificate of Registration with relevant professional body (COREN, DPR, NSITF, ITF)
- Tax Clearance for the last three years
- Company Profile and evidence of projects handled
- Banker Reference Letter
- Inspection/verifiable office in Yenagoa or any other town in Bayelsa State
Conditions for Contractors/Suppliers
To register as a contractor or supplier, the following conditions must be met:
- Certificate of Incorporation/Registration
- Tax Clearance for the last three years
- Company Profile, HSE Policy, and evidence of projects handled
- Bankers Reference Letter for Limited Liability Companies and Plc
- Articles and Memorandum of Association for Limited Liability Companies and Plc
- Confirmation of Financial Capacity from your bank
- Letter of Identification of the Director/Proprietor from one of the following:
- Landlord
- Magistrate/High Court Judge
- Community Chief
- Clergyman
- Local Government Chairman
- Verifiable office in Yenagoa or any other town in Bayelsa State
- Inspection of Equipment
- Processing of similar jobs executed

Additional Information
- The registration grade a contractor applies for is not automatically the final grade. A technical committee will evaluate the company’s facilities to determine the appropriate grade.
- All payments should be made to the Internally Generated Revenue Account (IGRA) of Bayelsa State Government at Access Bank, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. Please forward the teller and receipt to the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure to collect the registration form.

- Registration is valid for four years and renewable every year with 10% of the registration fees.
- Fresh registration is required after four years.
- This registration qualifies the contractor to undertake contracts with all ministries, departments, and agencies (MDA) in Bayelsa State.
